The finding of abnormal sperm or eggs requiring the use of a donor is the most difficult news for infertility couples to deal with. At JCRM, we are very sensitive to the fact that this diagnosis represents an entirely new thought process for couples who have always believed that they could conceive a child on their own. We encourage patients to stay in contact with us especially early after the diagnosis is made so that we can answer questions as they come up. The intensity of feelings that arise in this situation are often underestimated and in some cases brief depression can result. We are happy to discuss any feelings you have through this process.
We participate in all aspects of Third Party Reproduction. Our active Donor Egg Program has been established for more than 10 years. Our anonymous donor pool has been very popular with patients and our recruitment efforts are ongoing. We are happy to work with family donors or donors recruited anonymously through our practice.
In addition, Donor Sperm Insemination, the oldest form of infertility treatment, is available through our practice. We work directly with all of the major sperm banks in American. Please contact our office if you need additional information.
The American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) guidelines require that all couples meet with a psychologist to discuss the many complex issues related to any form of third party reproduction. Our staff strongly believes this is a very important component of your fertility treatment and a consultation with a Clinical Psychologist is required before a third party reproduction cycle is initiated. Additionally, the donors themselves are also required to meet with a psychologist.
