Breast Cancer TreatmentDamned if you do and damned if you don’t. Currently, breast cancer treatment comes with an absolute abandonment of estrogen at all levels and for most includes therapies that reduce or eliminate estrogen effect longterm.

I have been saying for years that estrogen deprivation results in increased vascular disease, cancer, weight gain, reduction in immune system function (infections) and all things metabolic worsen. Everyone agrees on osteoporosis which is simply bone loss. Every other body system suffers from lack of estrogen.

This study is simply underscoring this idea. There is data however to say that estrogen reduction diminishes breast cancer recurrence. So what do we do; live the life of low estrogen with all the negative effects there or risk recurrence? It becomes a difficult dilemma.

As long as estrogen is demonized in the medical world, I think the real answer to this dilemma will remain elusive and the recommendations will always be biased against estrogen.
