More women are delaying parenthood.

As we counsel many young women with endometriosis regarding the timing of childbearing, we clearly see this trend emerging over the last ten years. However, more significant for the birth rate is a dramatic increase in women with no desire for future pregnancy. Twenty years ago it was rare to encounter these patients, but now I see one or two per day. If this trend continues, we will see a more significant contraction of the birth rate.
