More trouble on the Marijuana front. Just as I predicted more and more women will see the “legalization” of marijuana as a pronouncement of safety for use even in pregnancy. We are seeing a dramatic increase in patients who report marijuana use in the infertility population. As more people begin to “consume” this drug, it will be just another thing that needs to be unwound before and during pregnancy. Our current list includes cigarettes, caffeine, alcohol, and prescription drugs, mostly antidepressants and anxiety drugs. Now we have to add marijuana to the list!
