Pregnancy Complications, Fertility Issues That Occur Throughout Life May Increase Woman’s Risk Of Developing Cardiovascular’s Disease, Researchers SayAt JCRM, we have been long committed to helping patients see that the underlying cause of their ovulation disorders has a very significant impact on chronic disease risk. Most patients are so focused on achieving pregnancy that they only hear our recommendations for lifestyle change as a “temporary” means to pregnancy. Many patients abandon these recommendations during pregnancy which we believe can have a lifelong negative impact on their children.

These concepts have been very slow to emerge in the medical literature. The two major problems we face for ovulation are PCOS (insulin resistance – a precursor to diabetes, etc.) and physiologic stress-induced ovulation dysfunction (hypothalamic dysfunction). It is crucially important for patients to make these changes in their lives permanently for their own health as well as the health of their children and families.

Nature is very sensitive to any physiologic disruption and does its best to prevent pregnancy when things are not right. Our population as a whole is rapidly moving toward a universal state of physiologic disruption and the fertility problems are skyrocketing. We urge those suffering with these issues to step back and see the looming overall long-term health problems and make changes that will result in happier healthier lives.
